Empowering people with dementia and their supporters about their rights to quality care Webinar

DO YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT CHANGED BEHAVIOUR IN DEMENTIA?

Capacity Australia in partnership with the Dementia Centre for Research Collaboration (DCRC), UNSW hosted a FREE national webinar as part of the government-funded Empowered Project. The webinar covers:

• Changed behaviour and psychological symptoms in dementia;
• Medication use in dementia and
• Rights of people with dementia and their supporters to be informed decision-makers about the care they receive.

The webinar is presented by Professor Carmelle Peishah, Professor Henry Brodaty and Dr Juanita Breen, leaders in dementia, prescribing for older people and human rights and elder abuse.

It is not compulsory to complete the questionnaire in order to participate in the webinar, however, it assists us in understanding the public’s knowledge of the issues we are covering and evaluate the Empowered Project.
